The iron-back chair was a modern choice for comfortable, casual seating in the Victorian era. The buttoning allowed for deep hair and cotton filling, enhancing its luxurious feel. For this piece, I incorporated traditional Victorian details such as the gathered fabric at the seat's front and to accentuate the serpentine curves on the back. The chair was updated with Lisa Corti fabric and Bagh print fabric from Madhya Pradesh, giving it a contemporary yet timeless appeal.
