During this morning workshop you will make a lampshade for your home. There will be lots of beautiful fabric but please feel free to bring your own as well and we can see if it will be suitable.

ON THE DAY
We will look at what makes the perfect lampshade, making sure the fabric you use suits your ideas.
Working through the steps to create a bespoke drum or cone shape lampshade using hard PVC backing.
The lampshades will be 25cm at the base and can be made to fit a lamp or a ceiling light.
Cutting fabric and backing to your specific needs. No pre-cut sizes here!
All materials are included.
YOUR IDEAS
Please feel free to discuss with me any specific ideas in advance and I can let you know if they are feasible. I am happy to advise on fabrics as well. Cotton works best but many other textiles work too but I recommend avoiding silk as it will come away from the backing over time.
CANCELLATIONS
Please give me as much warning as possible if you are unable to attend. Unfortunately May I Design will not be able to offer a refund after four weeks before the workshop unless we can find someone else to take your place.
